As a professional Buyer’s Agent I intentionally do not put forth my personal opinion of any residence that I show my clients. The last thing you want when viewing condos is to have the Realtor trying to influence your decisions.

That is why it is absolutely critical that you work with an Exclusive Buyer’s Agent. Many Realtors will tell you that they “do Buyer’s Agency as well as Seller’s Agency and Dual Agency” and believe me, it is absolutely imperative that you have a very clear and concise understanding of the implications of these three choices of representation.

Most of my client’s however continually ask for my opinion and as the majority are moving here from International destinations (Asia, Europe, America, Middle East) my opinion on neighbourhoods is almost as frequently requested as my opinion on condo developments and developers.

I am enclosing my personal opinion on the areas that I feel are tops in this city (below). I advise that when considering areas that you get a city map and draw a circle around where you work (or intend to) and another around where you play (or intend to) and any other area influences that may prove important to you. From these circles you can narrow into specific geographic locations from which to start your search.

Although we handle ALL other areas of the city as well, these areas represent the prime condo areas within the downtown "core".

Toronto has become "Manhattan North" offering affordable luxury living at a fraction of "Manhattan prices.  A large percentage of buyers of Toronto condo buyers today are upstate New Yorkers looking for Manhattan lifestyle (Toronto has the theatres, sports, shopping, dining, etc.) on retirement incomes.

On a Global scale, Toronto real estate is inexpensive.
