Hanging
out in Toronto's Fashion District
Torontos Fashion District is the place to be for bargains on fabric leathers, furs
and fashion and is now transitioning into a prime residential area in the city. Located on
the west side of Spadina Ave. between Dundas St. and Front st., the name, Fashion
District, was given to the area for its history of having stores that sell clothes
directly from the manufactures.
This is one of the highest demand areas in the city as its just below Chinatown and its abundance of fresh vegetables and
produce, a even shorter walk to the Entertainment
District and Financial District as well as just a
short walk from the Harbourfront.
Loft developments such as Camden Lofts, Quad Lofts, SoHo, 550 Front, 66 Portland, and 550
Wellington are quickly changing the fabric of the area while a graphics arts, printing and
clean industrial business still linger.
