Hanging out in Toronto's York Mills Area
York Mills is the name given to the area Yonge St. and York Mills Rd. in Toronto.
The area name is linked to saw and grist mills that dotted the Don River, which flows
through York Mills.
The Town of York Mills became part of the Township of North York. Later North York became
a region, and then a city, and was merged with five other municipalities and a regional
government to form the new "City of Toronto" in 1998. Today the area of York
Mills is home to luxurious condominiums and high-end homes.
Some of the better condos in the city are found in this area such as York Mills Mansions, Governors Hill I, Governors Hill II, 10 York Mills and there is another
cluster of condos just above York Mills called Robert where youll find Hillside I, Hillside II and Hillside III as well as The Antiquary. Townhouses are plentiful with Townhouses of Hoggs Hollow.
