Hanging out in Toronto's Yonge & Eglinton Area

Yonge and Eglinton area is a family neighbourhood type community in Midtown Toronto which used to be part of the old Town of North Toronto. In recent years the location of Yonge and Eglinton has grown into a predominantly house neighbourhood with great shopping including several high end retailers and lots of restaurants and coffee shops and boutique style shopping.

Recently there has been some highrise residential towers along Yonge (Minto Midtown) and along Eglinton (Panache) with a couple in the Redpath area just west of Mount Pleasant..

Known mostly as a prime “family area”, it is known for quality schools and facilities for families including tennis courts, public swimming pools, libraries, etc.
