BUYERS will soon be able to "walk through" properties located all around the
world without traveling to see them.
By using Hongkong's first interactive computer system called
Asia-Net, vendor can show their properties in colour with written details.
Asia-Net was developed by
Asian North American International Ltd., an international real estate consultancy.
The company's Picture Database Network was based in Hongkong and
is to link the world's major property markets to facilitate trade in Asian real estate. |
The
network, which already operated overseas, will continue to carry North American, British
and Australian properties.
An agreement was established with Hongkong Telecom, which would
provide all telecommunications lines to run the system.
"AsiaNet is the most practical and effective means of
selling local and international property in the world today," said Asian North
American International president, Mr. C.L. Hanes.
"Our company had negotiated a unique joint-venture
relationship with Hongkong's largest publicly traded company, Hongkong Telecom and secured
the exclusive rights to exploit this technology."
Mr. Hanes said it was easy for buyers and sellers to use AsiaNet.
"It took very little effort and saved people time and money. |

"Instead of travelling all the way to Vancouver to see a
property, for example, you can sit down in an office and call up the property and look at
it on the computer."
It would then be possible to look at each of them by
"walking through" every room.
He said his company had extensive discussions with a number of
suppliers of interactive telephone technology to integrate direct telephone line access to
listings on AsiaNet.
