Well stop the world . . . I want to get off! There is such a thing as
"Customer Service" in this world after all!
Call me desensitized or whatever you may call me, I had pretty well concluded that
"service", you know that supplemental issue to doing business that we used to
get at banks (although we still get "Service Charges"), corporations (like Bell
Canada - try to get service from them and have a calculator ready to add us what the
concept costs you even though you don't really get "service") stores, and other
institutions.
Well, when I moved into my condo I found that service was absolutely lacking in everyone I
ended up doing business with. I wrote about my disappointing den experience with the
company forcing through a second ("unauthorized) installment on my credit card and
the resulting lack of "service" from VISA who tried to tell me that if I gave
them my credit card number for the initial installment, that VISA deemed "any further
charges by that merchant as valid"!
My fight with VISA over this ended with me publishing my truthful commentary with them on
my web site and sending them a link to it to insure that I wasn't doing anything behind
their back. They immediately credited the disputed amount on my credit card but never did
contact me to explain their initiative. I never learned if the merchant was ever required
to pay the credit card company back the almost $4,000 that they attempted to steal from
me. I've often wondered about it.
Well, the good news arises from a wall fountain that I purchased for my front hallway. I
had it installed with care insuring that it was level and all to avoid any leaking onto
the expensive hardwood flooring of my suite.
Accustomed to retailers and businesses in general not even addressing complaints, let
alone something purchased from the Internet from America, I didn't even follow up with the
supplier for about 3 months but each day as I walked to the front door I saw my beautiful
fountain (the most relaxing addition to my environment that I've ever had) sitting idol.
Over the three months my mind raced with remedies however, the framework is copper with a
protective coat over it to protect it from rusting. After the fourth quarter of 2004, in
the early hours of the morning, I decided to at least explain the problem so I sent them
an email.
I can't tell you the surprise I felt the following day seeing their reply pop up on my
desktop. Not only did they reply immediately but their assurances to remedy the situation
to my satisfaction caught my eye. They were polite and attentive and asked me if I could
send them digital photos of the problem area which I did and within two days I had another
reply assuring me that they would send me an entire new component as opposed to giving me
instruction on how to modify or alter the unit. This was impressive.
Now, without delay I have already received the new component and as I sit here telling you
about this very pleasant experience (not to mention the satisfaction furnished by the
fountain itself) I am listening to the calming gurgle of my fountain with no drips onto
the floor.
I've told everyone before, that this web site does NOT carry "Advertising" (you
know where someone pays to say good things about themselves) but that I do comment on
and/or endorse quality companies who have shown me and/or proved an integrity of service.
I am happy to Endorse SerenityHealth.com as a
quality supplier of these fountains and moreso for their uncompromising attention to
detail and "SERVICE"! There presence on my web site is not paid for but rather
included here as a meaningful direction for anyone considering adding a fountain to their
home. |
